Ogonki can be
used with all applications on Windows platform, such as Microsoft
Works, Word, Office, Publisher. Package includes:
- TrueType and Bitmap fonts professionally made to show on your screen
and in your printed documents (50 or 100 or 200 depending on the
version. TrueType fonts can be made Bold/Italic and these variations are already included
when counting the fonts)
- 12 Windows system TrueType fonts (Arial, Courier New, and Times New Roman)
- Polish version of Windows system fonts to display Polish characters in dialog boxes
and used by Polish spell checkers and dictionaries. (Very useful
when running other programs imported from Poland.) These fonts will replace the original
Windows fonts. (You should take a backup copy of your Windows system fonts before installing
Ogonki, so that you can revert to the original ones if you wish)
- SetKey - a simple but effective keyboard driver to enter Polish characters directly from
your English keyboard. SetKey uses Polish programmer’
keyboard standard of accessing accented characters. You press Alt key and a letter
most similar to character you want. For example to get z with
dot, you press Alt and z. If that conflicts with accessing menu bar options in
your application you can re-map your keyboard with Softkey. (SoftKey keyboard driver is
supplied free with the package, so no technical support is available for it)
- Professionally made installation program
- Instructions in Polish and English
Additionally, if you want, you can also substitute Windows original Times New
Roman, Arial and Courier with their Polish counterparts.
That comes very useful if you want to run some program written for Polish
version of Windows, which assume the mention above fonts include Polish
accented characters. This option is however optional and Ogonki will not
substitute any fonts without your permission.
Even if you decide to substitute, that will not result in loosing your ability
to write in English, because all English characters are present in Polish
alphabet as well. A small problem may only show
with the British currency sign £, which in all Polish fonts
is used for upper case letter L. To be able to type the British currency sign you
will need at least one non Polish font in your Windows too.
On Windows 95/98 platform Ogonki and Zecer can be mixed together with no problems, you may even use Zecer keyboard
driver with Ogonki fonts and vice versa.

Some fonts from Ogonki 100 fonts package.
(The fonts have been printed, then scanned and resized for the web,
so the quality does not show in the above example. In reality
the fonts are much better than shown here.
Samples can be sent by fax on request.)
